The Shippon is situated in the beautiful River Dart valley, close to the village of Ashprington near Totnes, South Devon.

The Shippon sleeps 18 in 10 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The majority have river views.

The kitchen together with the dining room is very large (30' x 15'). It is well equipped to cater for your family get togethers.

Huge sitting room with plenty of comfortable setees for the whole group and the same stunning views down the valley to the River Dart.

There are still a few weekends available in the next couple of months at the old price of £900 for the weekend - which includes electricity (Friday 3pm to Monday afternoon).

In addition, we have a few weeks available for the rest of the summer - prices vary from £1310 to £1800 per week (plus electricity)

The Shippon is a detached converted barn with magnificent views down to and over a completely unspoilt, building-free stretch of the navigable river Dart. You approach the property down about a half mile private tarmac drive and there is plenty of parking space once you reach the Shippon. This is a marvellous place to bring your children and their friends or your friends and their children!

There are some good walks, especially into Totnes (40 minutes mostly on a good tarmac cycle track), excellent pubs/restaurants, bird watching and badgers, foxes and even the odd deer are often seen.

Inside the Shippon the majority of the heating is provided by electric night storage heaters with a couple of convector heaters in 3 bedrooms. There is always plenty of hot water from 5 immersion tanks.
